Founded:
The Abel J. Morneault Memorial Library was dedicated on April 21, 1974. The necessary funds for the construction of the building were raised in large part by the efforts of the Rotary Club and local private donors.
Collections:
The Abel J. Morneault Memorial Library is home to nearly 26,500 volumes, spread across several forms of media. The library also contains the Martine A. Pelletier Special Collections Room, which holds most of the library's historical artifacts and documents.
Facilities:
The Abel J. Morneault Memorial Library is located in a brick building at 153 Main Street, Van Buren, near Van Buren District Secondary School.
Hours:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Closed Sunday and Monday
